Dr. Holly Carter is an Emmy-winning producer and media executive best known as the producer behind Lifetime's This Is Life with Lisa Ling, whose doctorate anchors her academic work on identity and civic transformation alongside her producing slate. She has spent her career developing stories rooted in lived experience and the public systems that shape it — series that pair editorial rigor with the operating reality of the people and institutions featured.

She founded Relevé Entertainment and founded MergeTV. Relevé develops and produces feature documentaries and long-form series rooted in lived experience, civic infrastructure, and the people who build both. MergeTV extends that work into the digital space where the same audience meets the same storytelling. The Timelist Project sits inside that slate — Relevé Entertainment's continuing partnership with Merge TV on documentary projects in the justice-impact space.
